Sir Robert Anderson (1841-1918) was an Assistant Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police. This book is his response to F.W. Farrar who had dismissed the historical claims of the book of Daniel according to the method of "higher criticism". Anderson argues that the book of Daniel was indeed written by Daniel, a Jewish official in the Babylonian and Persian court.
