J. D. Colter had the perfect family and perfect life. He couldn't ask for anything better. He had it all until a tragic accident takes it all away. He packs up everything he needs on his Harley and leaves for the seclusion of the Wyoming mountains.
Sara Ann Starr is his only neighbor and has two little children that he doesn't want to be around - it hurts too much. When they are kidnapped, he takes Sara Ann and goes to Yellowstone, where he and Sara Ann become close, and she tells him how she feels about him. It takes him getting rid of his demons and saying good-bye to his ghosts to make him see that love can indeed bring life back into his dead heart, but does he want it?
