Better than Book 1

I enjoyed this book better than book 1, but there is still something missing for me.
In this sequel, Hunter, chief of MoonBound clan has to fulfill the bargain he made in book 1, to marry the daughter of a rival clan. While Hunter wasn't looking forward to mating Rasha, as a leader, he had to create alliances as the human attacks on vampires continue to increase.

Rasha travels to her new clan with her twin sister Aylin as a decoy in case they come across trouble. Aylin is disposable since she has a limp, and she is a second twin who should have been drowned according to clan customs. When the group came under attack, Hunter was able to rescue the princess and they spent some time getting to know each other. Imagine Hunter's shock when he learned that it was actually Aylin, not Rasha that he has been spending time with at the hidden cabin.

The contrast in personalities is vast as Rasha is just awful and Aylin is so sweet. I did find that cliche that the beautiful one was rotten inside and the deformed sister was a gem inside. But it put Hunter in a quagmire--does he do his duty or follow his heart?

The length of time it took to resolve this triangle, coupled with the dangling issues with Mine and the traitor left me unsatisfied.

The world building in this book was much better and more interesting. The origins of the clans, seeing some of the individual's abilities such as Aylin's gift was a good touch to this story. I will continue the series but I wasn't wowed by this one either.

Vampire Romance

The world the author has created is unique... a different present day, which includes vampires. The romance is spot on with an alpha male, but still sweet and a heroine who you can connect with.

I loved the mix up with the twin vampire sisters. It was funny to read, even if the characters weren’t too amused.

Enthralling Sequel

After a slightly disappointing series opener, this book rallied. I really enjoyed the interplay between these two characters, the focus on the different cultures of the warring vampire clans, and the resolution that involved appropriate self-sacrifice.

chained by night is amazing!

I loved the story and we'll as Amy Landon reading it! This is by far top ranking vampire series that will have you entertained thru the whole book.

Why so few books?

I probably should have done some more research before getting the first novel, in this series. I am really loving the stories and the characters and I thought I was going to have another juicy series to sink my teeth in. I was wrong. There are only two novels and a novella, written in this series. Such a disappointment. Apparently, these three books are related to a few of her other series; but there won’t be a story about every warrior in the Moonbound clan. We can only hope this author returns to this series, in the future, to write more books, in this series.

Excellent sequel…

Excellent sequel I really enjoyed getting to know Hunter better. As well as following the growth of Alieen. It was good. Definitely if not better than the first one. I'm glad I gave it a chance

Great Book to listen to

This book is about Hunter the leader of the vampires clan Moonbound. Hunter will do anything to save his clan from extinction or worse. Hunter had to make a deal to save his first born so he has to take three deadly tests and make it out alive so it takes his soon to be sister-in-law. Hunter tries to keep her a bay all though the tests but it is hard because the way they have to get to the test and what happens in the tests and how they have to get out of the test. But now would be the time to Buy the book and find out what happens to the people in it. Worth buying and reading. Will be buying more from this author.

I love Hunter.

I really liked this story. The 2nd book is better than the first. I can't wait to read the next installment.

Better than first book but still....

Guess I'm used to something more from this author. This book was far better than the first one in terms of character development, emotional development, storyline development and such. But still.... I guess my biggest issue was immaturity of characters, side ones mainly. Sometimes it was as if two testosterone ridden teenagers were having conversation or placing comments. Not 200 something old ones. Anyway, significantly less enchanting than Demonica series.

moonbound has me

love Love LOVE this series. can't wait for book 3. vampires and love, who could ask for more.
