After ancient vampire Eamon Rutherford slaughters a group of hunters who were sent to destroy him by Bernard Townsend, he realizes that it was more than a random assassination attempt; a blood war has been declared on him.
When Rutherford and his human lover, Amelie, travel to London, they uncover a sinister plot by Townsend to control the vampire Shadow Government and dominate the human race.
