    Description

After Paul Stutzman finished hiking the Appalachian Trail, he found himself longing for another challenge, another adventure. Trading his hiking boots for a bicycle, Paul set off to discover more of America. Starting at Neah Bay, Washington, and ending at Key West, Florida, Paul traversed the 5,000 mile distance between the two farthest points in the contiguous United States. Along the way he encountered nearly every kind of terrain and weather the country had to offer - as well as hundreds of fascinating people whose stories listeners will love. Through cold and heat, loneliness and exhaustion, abundance and kindness, Paul pedaled on. His reward - and the listeners' - is a glimpse of a noble yet humble America that still exists and inspires.

Anyone who longs for adventure, who loves travel and stories of travel, and who loves this place called America will enjoy this book.

    boo

I wanted to hear about a cool adventure across the country on bicycle instead I got a Sunday morning Church summon.
it should really mention in the title of this book that it's a religious book

    Not a travel book

Found this book under travel, it should be under religious books. This guy praises god in every paragraph. I don’t have a problem with that but I wouldn’t have got this book if I knew

    Good Story

I enjoyed his first book about hiking the AP and thought I'd give this a try. Good, interesting story although he gets a tad heavy handed at times with his religious angle.

    it was okay

I wish it focused more on biking and less on Christianity. I liked hearing about the different places visited, I just wish there was more of a focus on that. A lot of the book is about his personal views on religion.

    Pretty awful

I knew this wasn't going to be very informative when the dude can't make it through the first day without finding a hotel room. It get's worse, he has a flat but can't find a bike shop to fix it. Then there's the stuff about God and Jesus and how young people don't realize hell is real. Might make a nice read for a Sunday school class, but not much of a bike packing book.

    Disappointed

Not what I was expecting. Boring stories that did not entertain. If you’re on a long drive I’d stay away from this as you’d fall asleep at the wheel.

    More Adventure please....

I was hooked with the story of the actual bike riding adventure. The people he met along the way have the story a lot of depth. I was a little disappointed with the parts that reference the Bible and Jesus Christ in length. I little reference is ok but I completely skipped Chapter 13 because I couldn't get past the first part of the chapters Bible study. I almost deleted the book because I was so disappointed. The next chapter gets back to the adventure.

    Engaging and inspiring story

Honest memoir of an unusual journey. The author weaves his faith into his experiences in a helpful and inspiring way. The story line takes constant unpredictable turns, so the book never gets dull.
