The big question however, may be: Why did they react in different ways? or, Why did they not all react exactly alike? Better yet, you may ask, “What difference does it make"? By asking that question, you have uncovered the total theme, plot, and intent of this audiobook.
Enlarging on that question, one could expand it to ask, Why are we sometimes adamant that a given method is the only way to resolve an issue? Or what makes one neighborhood more desirable than another? I have heard it said that particular postal ZIP codes are more desirable than others. Why should that be so?
