After losing her parents at the young age of six, Vanessa finds herself in a foster home that is far from the life she used to know.

Once living an isolated life, Vanessa is now surrounded by people, and things slowly begin to change. As Vanessa struggles to find her smile again, something she had thought was gone forever, she meets a foster mom with a carefree sprit and a strong-willed best friend.
