James L. Bryant is a veteran, successful real estate investor, advent community volunteer, and (the reason you are here) a performer and writer of poetry who comes from very humble beginnings. For him, poetry helps to protect his individuality in an isolated and structured environment. The military, in particular, validated the importance of emotional transparency and mental health. Hopefully, this book can connect with someone and will let them know that they aren’t alone.
His first poetry book, Beautiful Chaos, depicts the evolving emotions and perspectives of the author throughout his life. Love, race, spirituality, acceptance, and faith are prevalent themes.
