    Description

The Mistborn trilogy has become a firm favourite with fantasy fans the world over. The imagination that Sanderson brought to the series, his skill at marshalling epic storylines and dramatic action and his ability to create vivid characters made him a natural choice to complete Robert Jordan's epic Wheel of Time sequence.

But with Mistborn, Sanderson has shown his bountiful talents in his own fiction. Now he returns to the series that made his name with a new story, building on the incredible success of The Alloy of Law. The new Mistborn books move the series into a richly imagined 19th-century analogue world with elements of the Wild West mixed with magic and science. It's a wonderful concoction from a master storyteller.

Sanderson has the knack of giving epic fantasy listeners exactly what they want. This ability has thrown him to the forefront of the genre, and this novel will take him to the next level.

Great book superbly narated. Very satisfied.

I've listened to the whole series so far, don' t know where Mr. Sanderson gets it all. Very entertaining though.

    Fantastic story and wonderfully performed

Riveting story read by superbly talented voice artist. I am amazed by all the accents and colour the reading brought to the narrative. A good story made great by how well it was performed.

    So captivating and immersive

The character development, the world mechanics... Everything makes sense and is so detailed.

I'm so excited about The Lost Metal!

About what you'd expect from Sanderson and Kramer.

The story, this time around, wasn't quite as strong. A lot of very sudden and rushed feeling character development as well as what, to me, felt like a deus ex machina ending. Something that Brandon has done well in avoiding up to this point.

The same goes for the World building. It didn't feel as organic as the rest of the series.

It just doesn't have the magic of books one through four, where I found myself pausing often and/or taking longer breaks to digest and hypothesis about the magic system, the history and other world building aspects.

Though it was, of course, a joy to go on another adventure within Mistborn universe and Michael Kramer does a fantastic job at making every character feel unique and, more importantly, alive.

Though it isn't his best performance within the series.

Overall a solid audio book, with some pacing problems. I think it could have done well with an additional three or four hours of runtime.

    continuously breath taking

Both, Brandon Sanderson and Michael Kramer continue to deliver. I enjoyed the third part and am looking forward to Brandon Sanderson's next work.

YA failing at the pretense of sounding epic

It actually starts with a wedding! Who asked for this? I am a big fan of Sanderson's work, however in this book he seems to be writing for those who pretend to like epic fantasy but are instead secretly into cheesy stories like Bridgerton!
The female characters are terrible, they are prudish, silly, and weak, and keep crying/screaming during action scenes needing to be saved even when they try to help the male leads.
