Lisa Scottoline
In this next-level domestic thriller from bestselling author Lisa Scottoline, a mother accidentally kills her wealthy husband who abducted their young son to Monaco, and must fight her powerful in-laws and an international crime syndicate to get her child back.
Teresa “Mack” MacKenzie falls in love with a European billionaire and vice president of a luxury jewelry house headquartered in Monaco. After marrying and settling down in Philadelphia, Mack and Philippe welcome their son, Henry, into the world and visit Monaco often. When Mack rushes home for an emergency, leaving her husband and son in Monaco, Philippe files for divorce, cuts Mack off, and prevents her from seeing her son.
When the two meet again in person, they're arguing on the street, and Mack pushes Philippe, causing him to fall fatally into the path of an oncoming car. Now a suspect in his murder, Mack must fight for her innocence and search for her son, who is in the custody of her powerful and furtive in‑laws.
