Good morning. Georgia. I'm Aaron Jolly. Sixty degrees before your first cup of coffee. That's where we're starting. And honestly? We're just warming up. This is unseasonably warm air that's moved in and decided to stay awhile. We're running 60 degrees above normal for early March. Some spots could challenge daily records today. Metro Atlanta wakes up at 60 degrees and climbs to 81 by mid-afternoon. Partly sunny skies give way to a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 P.M. If storms develop, we could see a quarter to half an inch of rain. Tonight dips to 63 with thunderstorms possible through 2 A.M. Down along the coast, patchy fog greets Savannah and Brunswick this morning before clearing by 9 A.M. You'll hit 79 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Tonight stays mild at 62. Eastern Georgia sees similar warmth — 83 degrees by afternoon. Morning fog clears fast, then a slight chance of thunderstorms pops up between 60 degrees and 3 P.M. Overnight lows settle around 63. Saturday brings more of the same — low 80s with scattered afternoon showers and storms. South winds gust to 20 miles an hour. Saturday night, storm chances jump to 70 percent as a weak front slides through. Sunday turns unsettled. Showers and thunderstorms likely statewide, with highs dropping to the mid-70s in Atlanta. The coast stays warmer near 83. Early next week keeps the pattern going — daily chances for showers and storms, with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s. Tuesday could be the warmest day yet, with some areas flirting with 90 degrees in the southeast. Enjoy the spring preview, but keep the umbrella handy. See you tomorrow.
