À propos de ce contenu audio

Good morning. Puerto Rico. I'm Aaron Jolly. The wind is the headline today. Step outside and you'll feel it immediately — breezy east winds at 16 to 20 miles an hour, gusting to 32. That's the kind of wind that reminds you to hold onto your hat. And it's not going anywhere this weekend. Metro San Juan hits 81 degrees today. Scattered showers wrap up before noon, then you're clear until tonight. Lows drop to 75, but showers and thunderstorms roll back in after midnight. Could see a half to three-quarters of an inch of rain. Down south in Ponce. Here comes 89 degrees this afternoon. Morning showers clear out fast, leaving you mostly sunny. Tonight stays mild at 73 with just a few isolated showers after 9 P.M. Out west. Mayagüez and Aguadilla reach 86 degrees. Isolated showers this morning give way to scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Then tonight? Beautiful clearing. Low around 70 with calm skies. The important part. A high rip current risk is in effect for all north and east-facing beaches through Sunday. Life-threatening rip currents are possible. If you're hitting the beach this weekend, stay alert. Watch for beach patrol flags and posted signs. Small craft advisories are also up for choppy to rough seas. Looking ahead, tomorrow brings more showers and possible thunderstorms, especially around San Juan and the west. Sunday continues the same pattern. Highs stay in the low to mid 80s all weekend. Winds ease slightly by midweek, but expect unsettled weather through Tuesday before drier air finally arrives late next week. Especially near the water. See you tomorrow.
