Good afternoon. Michigan. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll feel it. That damp, clingy chill that sneaks through your jacket. We picked up a tenth of an inch of rain overnight. And it's still drizzling across the state. Fog's thick enough to make your headlights work overtime. In the next 24 hours. Down in Detroit and Ann Arbor, you're sitting at 44 degrees with rain showers rolling through this afternoon. Fog's hanging around like an uninvited guest. Tonight drops to 37 with more showers likely. But here's the good news — Friday warms to 59 under cloudy skies. Over in Grand Rapids, same story. You'll hit 44 today with a coin flip on rain showers and patchy fog. Tonight falls to 37. Friday's when things get interesting — you jump to 66 degrees with showers and possible thunderstorms moving in. Push north to Traverse City and you're at 45 degrees with just a slight chance of drizzle. Tonight cools to 34 with fog patches. Friday brings a nice warm-up to 57 as rain showers arrive. Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Friday turns noticeably warmer — upper 50s to mid 60s across the state. Rain picks up Friday afternoon with thunderstorms possible Friday night into Saturday morning. Saturday starts mild before a cold front brings more storms. Sunday clears out beautifully with sunshine and highs in the 50s. Monday continues the pleasant stretch — sunny skies, mid 60s. Tuesday brings another round of rain. Quick note — we're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight each day now. Sunset tonight at 6:33. Spring equinox is just two weeks away. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
