Good afternoon. Virginia. I'm Aaron Jolly. Seventy-two degrees right now. In early March. That's not a typo. We're running a solid 49 degrees to 49 degrees above normal. And honestly, it feels more like late April out there than the tail end of winter. In the next 24 hours. Step outside and that mild air just wraps around you. Central Virginia is sitting pretty at 70 degrees this afternoon under partly sunny skies. You might see a quick shower after 4 P.M., but most of us stay dry. Tonight, clouds build in with a low near 51. Down in Hampton Roads, the ocean is doing its job, keeping you a bit cooler at 66 degrees. You'll see mostly sunny skies today, then clouds roll in tonight with a low around 49. Out west in the mountains, you're hitting 69 degrees this afternoon under partly sunny skies. Tonight turns mostly cloudy with a low near 51. Tomorrow, we crank the heat up even more. Central and Western Virginia push toward 80 degrees. Hampton Roads reaches 70, though watch for some patchy fog early. This incredible warmth holds through Saturday. But here's the twist. A cold front crashes the party this weekend. Rain chances climb Saturday night. And Sunday brings showers along with a few rumbles of thunder possible. Highs tumble back into the mid-70s in Central. And the mid-60s at the coast. By the way, tonight is the full moon. With some breaks in the clouds, it should be a lovely sight. We're also gaining over two minutes of daylight every single day now. Sunrise was at 6:38 this morning. And we've a sunset at 6:07 this evening. Spring equinox sits just two weeks away. Today's the day to crack a window and let that amazing air in.
