That's a solid 53 degrees warmer than usual for early March. The spring equinox is still two weeks away, but honestly, the calendar seems optional today. In the next 24 hours. West Tennessee is leading the heat parade, hitting 80 degrees this afternoon. Middle Tennessee climbs to 78. Over in East Tennessee, you're looking at 75 degrees — still perfect weather for a cookout. But hold on. Changes are brewing out west. Thunderstorms develop between 6 P.M. and 10 P.M. Around Memphis. Lows dip to 65 degrees there. Middle Tennessee stays mostly cloudy with a low of 64. East Tennessee drops to 53 under partly cloudy skies — the cool spot tonight.
