After extensive planning and a successful bid, Medicine Hat was awarded the games set for August 2026. However, the path was not without its challenges, as the 2022 games were initially canceled due to health concerns during the pandemic.

One of the standout features of the upcoming games is the incredible volunteer spirit in Medicine Hat. Both Brian and Kara, emphasize how essential volunteers are to the success of the event. With around 400 volunteers already signed up, the community is coming together to support the athletes and showcase their city’s hospitality.
