Luther saw firsthand what happens when the Ten Commandments, the Creed, and the Lord’s Prayer are neglected. His words still speak directly to our time: we never outgrow the Catechism, and we never stop needing instruction, repentance, and comfort from Christ.
This reading is both a warning and an invitation—to return to the basics, not as beginners, but as lifelong students of the faith.
