Hebrews 13:5–6 — Jesus, Stay With Me Tonight and Calm My Fear About Tomorrow
New York, London, Lagos, Johannesburg, Auckland, Toronto, Dublin, and Singapore are all trending right now with the same human cry: night fear, fear of the future, global instability anxiety, Jesus help me tonight, protect my mind, I’m scared of tomorrow, prayer for reassurance, prayer when I feel overwhelmed, fear of bad news. This devotional meets that global search exactly. Hebrews 13:5–6 (NIV): “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you… The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.” Psalm 46:1–2 (NIV): “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” Jesus, tonight the world feels uncertain for millions—economically, emotionally, politically, spiritually. People everywhere are lying awake wondering what tomorrow will bring, fearing bad news, fearing change, fearing disappointment, fearing that they will not have the strength to face what is ahead. But You, Jesus, step into the middle of every anxious night with one eternal truth: You will not leave us. Calm my heart tonight, Jesus. Settle the fears that rise without warning. Lift the heaviness that sits on my chest. Silence every “what if” that grows louder in the darkness. Remind me that tomorrow is not mine to control—it is Yours to carry. Where my thoughts spiral, bring clarity. Where my hope feels low, breathe life. Where fear grips tightly, break its hold with Your presence. You are my refuge when the world shakes. You are my strength when I feel weak. You are my helper when the future feels overwhelming. You stand between me and every fear that threatens my peace. You walk into tomorrow before I get there, preparing a way, guarding my steps, covering my life. So tonight, Jesus, I rest—not because life is easy, but because You are near. I declare: Jesus is with me, Jesus is my helper, Jesus calms my fear, Jesus guards my tomorrow, Jesus brings peace into my night. Hebrews 13:5 devotional, Psalm 46 prayer, night fear prayer, fear of future prayer, Jesus help me tonight, anxiety at night, protection and peace prayer
