À propos de ce contenu audio
On this episode of Conversations with Neighbours, host Myles Doak sits down with cover feature Milton Hart: Olympian, educator, community leader, and Hall of Fame athlete.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Milton’s journey is one of resilience and relentless determination. From being cut from his high school track team to becoming a champion sprinter, Jamaican Olympic bobsledder, and later a Canadian national masters champion, his story proves that perseverance can rewrite any narrative.
Milton shares his path from the Jamaican military and the world-famous bobsled program to building a life in Canada, excelling in university athletics, serving in the Canadian Military Reserves, and shaping young minds as a vice-principal with the York Region District School Board.
Beyond sport, Milton is deeply committed to community impact as Chair of the Aurora Black Caucus, advocating for equity, inclusion, and opportunity.
This conversation celebrates grit, growth, and giving back, and honours Milton Hart as a proud inductee into the 2024 Aurora Sports Hall of Fame.
