Awaken: Arise is an alarm loudly sounding to Christians. Darkness exists in the absence of light. In Awaken: Arise, Christopher Anderson contends that the light of Christian values is no longer brightly shining. Rather than being reflections of Christ, American Christians have become bearers of corrupt, tainted, self-glorifying messages. Questionable and outright false doctrines running contrary to scriptural truths carry equal weight to the doctrine of Jesus Christ. The "corporate" model has infiltrated Western Christianity, as we bear more resemblance to a business rather than Christ-followers. Awaken: Arise reveals the condition of American Christianity, and prescribes a remedy. Though darkness seems deep, light is breaking forth.
