Boring, mixed bag!

I have listened to every one of these book in the series. This is the most uneventful and boring book of the series.
A third of the book is just simply rehashing information in case someone has never read or listened to these books before. It would be so much more fun if the author didn’t explain anything, thereby encouraging and prompting a new audience to seek out and search the answers through previous books. This is my favorite series of books and I always look forward to the next in this series of books, But in reality, I could have skipped this book and basically missed nothing… I would have missed no great adventure or spellbinding intrigue. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy this book. Throughout the story, I got a sense that some of the storyline was copied from Star Trek (the newer series). Just a sense or feel from the story and that was very distracting.

A new ship

A new aurora a bad start. Nathan needs to quit doing these commissioning parties, it’s gonna get old.

A new beginning.

Wow a new ship. Smaller than the original. but just as formidable. Nathan Scott always seems to have the worst luck without even trying. A new adversary around every corner.

Worth listening to

Unless it was intentional why did the Aurora or the fighters not destroy the rescue ship that was sent to the planet to save Jessica after it crashed. The technology would be scooped up by the enemy. It seems like a blooper.

Can’t wait to hear what happens next

I was turned on to this series by someone I trust and it does not disappoint. While I can see it not being what everybody might want, I don’t care, it’s what I want and I’m thankful Ryk is writing a great story that keeps me captivated.

Fun

I have been a fan of Ryk Brown since the first book of his initial series. I like to read books from local authors. I got in the habit of checking the local author section of my neighborhood bookstore. There I found the first book by Ryk Brown.
I thought the story was all over at the end of the frontier series. This is book one of a new series, but it is the same story just a year or so later than the original one. Oh boy, the story continues. I will have some more exciting adventures with my favorite characters.
I read this as an audiobook downloaded from Audible. The book is eight hours. Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job narrating the book. He has been the narrator from the beginning of the first series.

What next

Great story. really looking forward to the next book. Can't wait to the end of the month.
