Amren is dead. But he doesn't want to be. He wants to go on living with his master. Still dead, Amren goes looking for him. When Amren finds him, he is pulled back into life, in front of thousands of witnesses, and is just in time to save his master from assassination.
With Amren's resurrection, the scientific and political worlds ignite in a battle for control over him. Amren learns that he can do things, but not even his master truly understands what is happening to him. Amren must discover who and what he is, before he is torn from everything he loves.
Amren is an endearing and innocent alien protagonist. If Dobby from the Harry Potter series had a coming-of-age story, set in a futuristic urban environment, it might look something like Amren: Life After.
