Description

Camila Barnes is bored. Nothing exciting ever happens in the small town of Sequina, Italy. When a pushy American shows up demanding to meet the woman in Camila’s artwork, instead of introducing her to her great-grandmother, Camila decides to lead her on a wild goose chase all over town. Nobody messes with her family, especially people who won’t tell her why.
When the truth is finally revealed, Peri and Camilla realize they are a part of something greater than they ever expected. Attraction is fleeting, and true love touches only a few. Do they take the easy road home, or do they fight the odds and give love the chance to last for always?

I loved it and recommend it!
I do have minor one complaint… the narrator didn’t do a very good job of differentiating the characters. A few times I found myself trying to figure out who was speaking.
The story is so amazing and such a brutal reality of life as recently as 20 years ago. Well done Kris!
Oh and Hooray for epilogues!

A book to relax
Kris Bryant wrote a very sensitive lovely story,with characters both old and young that you can fall in love with. Melissa Sternenberg brought them to life in a very lovely way.

Right in the feels
Hopeful heartbreaking and beautiful were some of the words to describe this book. I 100% enjoyed the both stories although one had me in tears it was so worth the credit. I enjoyed how Hildie's and Isibella's story was told through love letters and Isibella's memories. I also enjoyed how Peri and Carmelia start out at odds but respect each other and live out what their Great Grandmothers should have had.

Amazing
A beautiful love story covering over 70 years and thousands of miles. I say that even though I cried my eyes out at the end. This is a for sure don't miss!

A beautiful story
This is a beautiful story that weaves in generational romance and love. The author’s description surroundings and time make it easy to visualize the scenes. I teared up in parts and felt the warmth in my heart while reading. Truly enjoyable.

This is beautiful!!!
I absolutely love this book, completely romantic. I cried through half way in, it kept my attention I didn't want to stop listening! Kris Bryant you the dam thing!! Melissa Sternenberg is a fabulous narrator!! I am just completely taken by this book. Excellent all the way.

Couldn't finish.
I did not love it. I did not like Camilla at all. I made it To the third Camilla POV but could t continue. Maybe 6 chapters in. I don't approve of lies in general (white lies are sometimes necessary unfortunately) however Camilla's character is in question within the first 6 chapters and not in a good way.
