    The interesting and authentic characters, original plot, as well as the many absurd yet funny situations make this novel very entertaining. It feels a bit short, but this is probably the whole point of a successful series: to make you want to read all the other volumes.

    The way the main character is paying attention to how she looks in almost every situation makes her believable and relatable, in her struggle to always keep the upper hand. Yet the glimpses of her flaws and fragility make her all the more human.

    Excellent audio performance by Penelope Keith.
