À propos de ce contenu audio
During the six months of caring for her husband through cancer treatment the main character Meredith finds herself living in two worlds at once—the uncertainty of the present and the pull of the past.
During the long months of caregiving each stage of illness becomes intertwined with memories of her younger self, her immigrant survivor grandparents, her own survivorship, and the unspoken family losses and secrets that shaped her earliest understanding of love, grief and resilience.
As past and present collide, Meredith is forced to confront how silence, survival, and the experiences she carries shape her identity across a lifetime. Address Book speaks to the long buried pain that resurfaces in crisis and helps us consider ways our past continues to shape where we "live" emotionally within ourselves and our familial relationships.
Address Book is an intimate coming of age story that invites listeners to reflect and address how earlier experiences influence the way they respond to illness, loss and uncertainty and how making meaning of those experiences can help move beyond coping and towards connection and healing.
