Description
When the ghost of a murder victim appears in Last Chance Books, middle-aged bookstore owner Willa Chance must find the ghost's killer or risk being haunted with its unwanted advice forever. Too bad the ghost suffers from amnesia and only has a few scant clues as to the identity of the killer. That's okay, though, because Willa has a pretty good idea who did it...until her investigation turns up additional suspects with curious motives.
Meanwhile her cat, Pandora, is on the hunt for a mystical kitten that the cats of Mystic Notch must bring into the fold before the kitten is enticed to the side of evil by a powerful foe.
When Willa's own life is threatened, she enters into a race against time to figure out the identity of the killer before she becomes the next victim.

This Is Where I Get Off
I enjoyed the first two books, but, I think this will be the last one for me. The main problem I have with this book is Willa. For a sleuth, she is incredibly close minded. Willa makes fun of Pepper's teas, even though, she has seen them work on a couple of people. She is supposed to investigate for Paisley's ghost. However, when Willa questions her for leads in the case, she ignores Paisley because the information doesn't fit with her own beliefs. Willa also removes and withholds evidence that the police could use to solve the murder. On top of that, she's not very smart! Willa misses obvious clues that the reader is sure to pick up on early in the book. I saw holes in the second book, but, the premise was pretty good so I gave it another chance. No more. This is my last book in the series.

Repetative
What would have made A Mew to a Kill better?
Development of Characters
What do you think your next listen will be?
Nero Wolfe
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator was okay but didn't have great material. She could have paused slightly more for character change at times.
What character would you cut from A Mew to a Kill?
None. I would however develop all characters. The story leads you to believe more will be developed but I listened to 3 books in hopes that I'd see the main character become more aware of her GIFT. The group of elderly that enter the bookstore each morning could certainly add more and have deeper personalities. By the third book I would have thought some back stories would have emerged. The author repeats background information repeatedly throughout the book. I get the feeling she doesn't think her audience intelligent.
Any additional comments?
As Pepper would say,
Not my cup of tea.

Always listen to the cat.
I love this series. I love the snooping that Willa does and always finding trouble. Love the cats. If Willa would just listen to Pandora. But she does not. Look forward to the next book

Too easy to figure out.
I had the motive figured out from the start. Then, it was pretty easy to deduce the killer later on. I don't like my mysteries that easy to solve. Especially when the protagonist is so stupid it's cringeworthy.

Already read this book with my Kindle but I put it on my Audible accidentally and it was really good to listen to this way that’s assessment from falling down because I don’t have to hold my book and walk

Some cat!
Cute, relaxing story of some special cats and a very nosy town of residents. Of course, there's a murder to solve too.

A New Cat Named Hope! Great Mysteries Ahead!!!
Never a dull moment in these story's! A small town is a
comfortable setting for people and the beloved pets. Of
course the cats are the most interesting and important
part of the book. I like how small towns brings people
to friendship and having trust in the community. I love the mystery
of the cats job to care for and safety and love of the people!!
I enjoy Elisabeth Rodgers very much!! Perfect softness and sincerity of each voice. So many lovely stories are ruined by
bad narrator's !!! PLEASE NEVER CHANGE!!

Worth re- reading...
And great to go to sleep by after the fourth time through . The voice is comforting and there is still enough story to keep your mind from away from overactivity.
