Tom, Jack, and Ellie could hardly wait. This weekend, (Friday after school, in fact) they were going off with Jack’s mum to stay in a caravan by the seaside. It was the perfect place for a weekend adventure. The caravan was on sandy heath-land between the sea and the river, a half hour walk from the nearest town. The children had planned and planned and planned, questioning Jack’s mum about every little detail.
None of them had the slightest idea that a morning’s crab fishing would transform the weekend into a heart-stopping, crime-busting adventure.
