Why develop professionally? I've talked with quite a few people who feel they have the credentials they need and think their resumes should speak for themselves.
They don't. Why? Because although they may be very well credentialed, there are thousands of other people just as well qualified (at least on paper).
To get a fantastic job after college, you need something more. And I've talked with others who work hard at their current jobs but don't get the promotions or transfers they deserve. Why? Because a lot of other people are also working hard and doing good jobs.
We all need to develop as professionals. This is what will set you apart from your peers. This will set you up for your dream job right out of college or that long-awaited promotion or an exciting lateral move to another department. In fact the tips you will get in this book can even help you branch out and do your own thing!
