In 1901, Queen Victoria passed away and took over the responsibilities of the paranormal court. When Victoria ascends to the paranormal throne, she acquires the help of a human agent, code-named Rogue.

Rogue has secured America with an agreement from the Queen and now the US opens its arms to her. Working with Baxter and the Spectral Plane, Rogue heads to Washington to make connections with the U.S. Government, but is waylaid by a strange group called the Shadows. Are they for her or against her? Cultish and without regard for normal moral boundaries, new enemies blur the line between life and death and dabble in things they shouldn’t. As the case grows bigger, Rogue realizes there’s more at stake than the specters.

Rogue has gone house hunting with a purpose, but what is the house for? Having learned the lesson that you keep your friends close, but your (potential) enemies closer, Jennie has the SIA pulled up close against her chest. Are they truly full of politics and red tape as she suspects? Jennie has to deal with a new paranormal creature, and this one wants to dine on her flesh. There are a lot of the little creatures, but what they lack in size they make up for in quantity.
