Narcissistic abusers... They manipulate. They lie. They cheat. They pick fights. They gaslight to make their partners feel as though they are losing their minds. They compartmentalize their lives so that they can keep their stories and their characters straight. They seem to become whomever the situation calls for. They seem to do it with ease and a lack of conscience.

In pursuing relationships with narcissists, we are often wrapped up in their tornadoes of manipulation, lies, and drama. Many women find it exciting and exhilarating to be with someone who is so erratic, eccentric, and seemingly unstable. These same women claim to feel dead inside if they meet "boring" and normal guys who can be there for them on a consistent basis.

Most people have heard about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Many of us believe that PTSD is a condition that is only diagnosed in veterans that are coming back from wars. But does PTSD exist in other people as well? The short answer is yes. PTSD is a disorder that can affect nearly anyone who has a reaction to some sort of trauma that they experienced or witnessed at any point in their life.

Many little girls grow up wanting to marry their daddy at some point in their childhood development. It is a natural part of life and of family. We see the affection between our parents, and we want to mimic the closeness and the relationship that is a bond between two partners. It promotes healthy sexual development in our children, so that they will be able to choose a partner later in life. Mimicking the behavior of other humans is the way that we learn how and what is appropriate in our culture and in our society.

This audiobook seeks to teach one partner in the relationship how to relate to and cope with a partner who has limited emotional maturity and capability. It seeks to give better clarity while taking into consideration the cognitive, emotional, and social deficits that are engrained in the partner's brain. It should take some of the anxiety and pressure from the more social and emotional partner by shedding some light on the fact that they are not the ones with the deficiency, despite what their partner is telling them.

Many of us know people whom society and doctors would consider personality disordered or mentally ill. We often use these labels for diagnoses and treatment. Sometimes the labels aren't accurate due to difficulties in testing for disorders and due to the differing views of the physicians and psychoanalysts. But are these people really disordered after all? Is there truly a normal personality that exists, and if it does exist - what is it?

There is clearly an epidemic of narcissism - a contagion of sorts - that is occurring across the globe. Narcissism is generally handed down from one generation to the next. It is said that nearly one in four people has narcissistic tendencies. It is likely that the number of narcissists will only continue to increase. Many people wonder why or how the narcissist seems to have two distinct personalities.

It is common knowledge that you are forced to deal with many different personalities during the holidays. You're suddenly forced to talk to your coworkers during the company's Christmas party. You run into the strange neighbor down the street during the Christmas parade. You see many of the other parents at the Christmas concert. You're invited to the in-laws' home for Thanksgiving dinner. You take your children to the mall for Christmas photos.

In many of my books, we discuss the different tools that are in use by a narcissist who is being a nuisance to those around him. He uses threats, coercion, gas-lighting, manipulation, lying, cheating, triangulation and cognitive dissonance to prey on his victims.

Many people have heard about the Peter Pan Syndrome. Dr. Dan Kiley used the term in his book The Peter Pan Syndrome: Men Who Have Never Grown Up. He fondly referred to the women who were involved with these Peter Pan types as Wendy, Wendy Complex, or Wendy Syndrome. Wendy is the character in the Peter Pan story who falls head over heels hopelessly and romantically in love with Peter Pan, even though he will never be a suitable partner for her.

This audiobook will seek to define cognitive dissonance as it relates to narcissists, toxic people, psychopaths, and other mentally ill or personality-disordered individuals. It will also define the cognitive dissonance that causes victims to stay with their narcissistic spouse or partner. The purpose of toxic and narcissistic people is seemingly to harm and take advantage of others. We look at them as being the "evil" side of humanity, but we often don't realize why they chose the "dark" side.

Many of my readers and listeners write to me asking how to better help their spouse or partner who has OCPD. After writing my book on OCPD - 35 Underlying Causes of OCPD, I jumped directly into researching everything that I could in order to help these couples to find a way to grow together.

Anxiety can escalate to another level. When a person is exposed to traumatic or negative events where they feel little or no control in the outcome, the anxiety can turn into post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you have enough recurring events in your life that are traumatic, you may even be diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD).

Asperger's Syndrome, or high-functioning autism, is a form of autism that falls on the autism spectrum. Asperger's Syndrome can be seen in adults and in children if you know what to look for. Many people who can be described as hypersensitive, odd or eccentric have Asperger's Syndrome which has gone undiagnosed. Some of the greatest comedians, singers, actors and inventors have Asperger's syndrome. They specialize in what they are good at, and they can become highly successful in doing so.

We have all met men who have the Peter Pan syndrome. Many of these men are also narcissistic and self-absorbed simply by the nature of the Peter Pan syndrome. A man who is stuck in his path through life as a boy never matures emotionally. He carries around his childhood sense of himself throughout his life. In many instances, his tastes do not grow or change. The way that he interacts with others does not grow or change. He is still stuck as a 12-year-old boy, or sometimes even younger, in his emotional development.

Many of us experience anxiety from time to time. Anxiety is a healthy way for our bodies to prepare for and anticipate upcoming events and situations where we need to take action. It prompts us to think, to plan and to initiate growth and change in our lives. Anxiety helps us to know what is right and wrong, and it lets us know when we have taken the wrong path in our life.

Many people are suffering from OCPD, and it is negatively affecting their marriage, their relationships, their children and their lives. Obsessive Compulsive Personality disorder is a condition of negative perfectionism. It is a desire and a need for orderliness, control, strict guidelines, and clear procedures. OCPD generally is handed down through the family and is held to be a family value which provides stability and survival.

Many of my readers and listeners come to me wanting to learn more and more about narcissists, abusers, batterers, and trauma bonding that occurs (and the woman's inability to leave the toxic relationship even when she has knowledge that it is toxic). The purpose of this audiobook is to uncover the overt and covert tools that are used by narcissists, abuser, and batterers to control, cause dependency, and form trauma bonds with people whom they want to keep in their lives to feed their own egos.

There are many things that occur during a child or adolescent's life that may lead to OCPD and perfectionistic behavior that paralyzes a person's ability to adapt to change and social circumstances. This audiobook covers the different causes, as well as covering the things that may be improved on in an OCPDer's life to encourage resiliency, self-confident, and the ability to relinquish some of the control that they need over others in order to survive.
