Former sheriff Marjorie Kovacevic has been elected national president promising to round up illegal refugees and migrants and use the army to wipe out the rebels and bandits who control Sherwood Forest. But she needs to pass a new law before she can send in the troops to recapture Robin's home, Sherwood Castle.

But their rival is arch-gangster Guy Gisborne, who won't hesitate to stuff ballot boxes with fake votes to ensure that he wins the vote. Meanwhile Robin's half-brother Little John is caught up in his mother's presidential election campaign, further complicating contact with Robin, his father Ardagh and his relationship with his girlfriend, Gisborne's daughter Clare.
