Struggling with the complexities of farm life, Mac can barely believe her beautiful girlfriend, Carmen, has agreed to move to the drafty old farmhouse to live with her and her beloved Pops. When Carmen is forced to leave the farm to care for her ailing mother, Midnight and Onyx as well as Mac and Carmen must struggle with the difficult separation.

Thrown together by their canine companions, these opposites must navigate chaotic vet visits, puppy parenting disasters, and their own clashing personalities. From awkward leash tangles to emergency midnight vet runs, Jack and Lily’s reluctant partnership slowly turns into something more tender—and a lot more complicated. As the puppies grow, so does their bond. But when their differences threaten to pull them apart, they must decide: are they just co-parents in crisis, or is there something real worth fighting for?
