The party continues their journey after the destruction of the Misty Realm, traveling on a stolen pirate ship while following streams of displaced souls. They discover the souls are heading toward an unknown destination, possibly the Steps of Creation. During their voyage, they explore the ship and discover treasure, gunpowder, and a dangerous Black Orb of Destruction that nearly corrupts Octavia.

Charlotte, a powerful wizard, appears to help them and reveals crucial information about the unnamed god Aetherion and the current state of the world. The session ends with Charlotte offering sanctuary and beginning to research how to help the party save the lost souls as requested by the deceased Queen Permelia.

The party prepares for a formal tea party with Queen Primillia, but their plans are disrupted when darkness falls and they discover a dying guard. As they search through the burning Misty Tree, they become separated and Echo is manipulated by the mysterious Queen Estielle into participating in a dark ritual that destroys Queen Primillia and the entire Misty Realm. The session ends with the party fleeing as unwitting accomplices to genocide, bearing the weight of their catastrophic mistake.

The party awakens at dawn and splits up to pursue different paths to the Misty Tree. Grico encounters a trapped specter at a floating dock and frees the tormented soul by returning a ship's bell to its proper place, earning passage on a magical vessel. Meanwhile, Echo and Octavia discover they can float through willpower and ascend directly to the Misty Tree island, where they meet Queen Primillia and her elven forces.

The party reunites and is granted 24 hours of hospitality in the magical realm, with luxurious accommodations and healing services, though they're warned that overstaying means death.
