  • The World Is Watching: Parris Chariz Album Listening Party | Ep. 22
    Jul 1 2026

Derek turns his living room into a venue and Parris Chariz plays his new album 'The World Is Watching' (out Friday) song by song with the story behind each. Christ or Cash and the prosperity-gospel gut-check, the near-death meningitis testimony behind Christian Mingle, get off the Amish stuff / church legalism, why he can't stand how Christian rap talks about women, and hip hop in Nashville. Explicit: live-room language and album bars run raw on the audio feed.

  • They Dragged Derek Minor for Cursing, So Parris Called His Mama | EP21
    Jun 22 2026

The language backlash blew up. Proper XL clipped it, the comments split the camp, and Derek answered with a disclaimer. So Parris called in the one person who could really settle it: Derek's mother, Prophetess Joyce Hawkins. She doesn't curse and she disagrees with him, but she dismantles the legalism (a curse word is not a curse; pronouncing doom over a life is). Derek lays out his why and who he's actually talking to. Then Mama testifies: addiction, survival, divorced him twice and sang over his last breath, and why she never gives up on anybody. Derek Minor and Parris Chariz, Say Dat Pod.

The point is elevation, because when genius meets poverty you get Spend Dat, and the kids deserve a better anthem. Then the rest of the table: failure is not faith, stop being a failure. Solomon was lit and Jesus would not be riding a donkey today. The copy will never be greater than the original. You got a talent Jesus never had, and you still stealing from the world. Episode 20. • Gen Alpha Thinks Christian Rappers Are Fake | Say Dat Pod Ep. 15
    May 10 2026

Gen Alpha isn't buying Christian rap. Derek Minor brought his sons Zane and Nolan to the Batcave — and they said what nobody in CHH will admit: Christian rappers just quote Bible verses without connecting it to real life.

Meanwhile, Usher cleared one of his biggest songs for Aaron Cole's gospel record. And Miles just became a potential first Christian rapper on XXL's Freshman List.

Plus: Parris Chariz tells Derek's son what nobody told him growing up in Detroit. And the most embarrassing story in Say Dat Pod history.

  • Did Druski Clown The Church
    Jan 19 2026

You Can't Say That In Church, Episode 1, Did Druski Expose the Church? Derek Minor and Parris Chariz are live in the Batcave, and they get straight to it. They react to Druski's "mega church pastors love money" skit, why it hit such a nerve, and what it reveals about church culture today. They break down why some people took it personally, why others laughed, and why the bigger issue is not one pastor, it's a system that rewards showmanship and turns faith into a brand. Then they switch gears to influencer culture and marriage online, why boundaries matter, and how money can quietly become the main goal if you're not careful.
