In this reaction video, I respond to a powerful moment from Steven Bartlett (The Diary of a CEO) where he shares two stories:
• one friend, successful in business, who goes to the U.S., meets Jesus, gets born again and baptized… and his life is transformed;
• another friend, also successful, not religious, who ends up in therapy, feeling empty and like her life has lost meaning.
I use this as a starting point to talk about the oldest lie in human history – the lie from Genesis 3 that says: “You can be like God. You don’t need Him. You can define your own life and your own truth.” Today we call it freedom and independence. The Bible calls it deception.
