  • Episode #19: Why Do We Still Think We Know Everything About Relationships?
    Jan 9 2026

Episode 19 is the first episode in a collection of conversations regarding all things relationships, marriages, parenting, toxic masculinity and everything else leading up to Valentines Day with my friends Colin Moran and Scott Balawender.

In this show, we revisit a point from an earlier solo podcast-why we’re not coming clean with our friends about how awful their partner is, breaking the cycle of living in a dysfunctional household and modeling what a good relationship should look like for your children, painting a picture of a perfect marriage on social media when in reality you’re numb and living a lie, dating as a single parent and not wanting to be “that guy” bringing a new girl around every 6 weeks, strange addictions, why people enjoy watching others fail, and some of the WORST SHARK TANK PITCHES OF ALL TIME.

  • Episode #18: Why Are We Still Afraid Of Being Rejected?
    Dec 26 2025

In episode #18, we're talking about what solidifies or confirms that two people are in a relationship...and what we thought that looked like in our teenage years, trying to be smooth and putting your arm over a girls shoulder in a movie theater when you're 14, the importance of "experience" gifts and creating memories for kids, the catastrophic reaction to being rejected by a boy or girl in high school, what moms REALLY want for mother's day, the crucial life skills that today's kids don't get to practice that were torturous in the 80s and 90s, working as a special education teacher in a substantially separate classroom, and the lack of privacy you had growing up with a corded phone.

  • Episode #17: Why Are We Still Counting Down The Days?
    Dec 12 2025

In episode 17, we’re asking why we’re still doing countdowns for things in our lives and realizing we should just live in the moment, being 17 and being excited about all the things an 18 or 21 year old can do, why time seems to go by so much faster as you get older, the Northeast’s toxic relationship with winter, our generations exhaustion with parenting two generations at the same time, a downstairs neighbor from hell, and why are we still thinking children cannot hear adult conversations

  • Episode #16: Why Are We Still Overcomplicating Our Wedding Day?
    Nov 28 2025

In episode 16, we explore why we're overcomplicating our wedding day-and asking the question "who is our wedding really for?" We reminisce about motels...and infamous college town eateries... we slept, and dined in, during our youth that we wouldn't dare step foot into as an adult with children, how we all have that one friend who always passes out in a plate of food at the end of a late night, my loathe of pizza places with an encyclopedia for a menu and questioning why hot dogs are a part of it, food you ate at 2am in your 20s that you'd never eat in your 40s and sober, being a wedding DJ in 2025 and wondering if its all smoke and mirrors now with everything digital, why renting a tuxedo is a huge waste of money and why you're better off just going to JCPenney, and the unexpected...ungodly smell of the Baltimore Harbor in warm weather.

  • Episode #15: Why Are We Still Neglecting Public Schools?-Part 2 w/Scott Balawender
    Nov 14 2025

In episode 15, we talk about what personnel needed to run a school in 2025 compared to the 1980s, and how most people have no clue what that looks like, getting back to the basics of home economics and life skills taught in school, instead of learning about volcanoes, Pangea, and other stuff you’ll never use, personal stories about some of our favorite teachers growing up, and highlighting what makes a good teacher today in 2025, the hilarity of watching today’s youth navigate a wired telephone, and so much more.

In Episode 14, I’m joined by my friend and Middle School Adjustment Counselor, Scott Balawender for a two part series , “Why Are We Still Neglecting Public Schools.”

In part one we talk about our career paths, the importance of building relationships with kids in a school setting and why it’s important for classroom management, challenges facing kids that are far greater than some can imagine, instant gratification and lack of social interactions with today's children, the ideal staffing needed for running a classroom in 2025, recognizing kids that are flying under the radar, the need for teachers to call home when something GOOD happens, and school staff taking the emotion out of their response when a child is dysregulated.

  • Episode #12: Why Are We Still Not Fitting In?-w/Ron Werth
    Oct 3 2025

In Episode 12 I’m joined by my friend Ron Werth, a fellow stand up comic, theater aficionado, and someone who was recently diagnosed with Autism as an adult. We talk about the science behind autism, growing old and thinking about why you did certain things as a kid and realizing that there was nothing wrong with you to begin with, the percentage of stand up comedians with autism, masking and what it means in the world of autism, preconceived notions and naive assumptions about people with autism, having a brain that’s constantly on a loop, giving your body what it really needs, and ultimately trying to fit in with the world while at the same time not caring to fit in at all. We had a bit of technical difficulties, which you’ll notice in one small spot, because the internet where I live is very inconsistent.

If you’re interested in following Ron’s journey, you can do so on TikTok and Instagram at This Is Rons Life (all one word).
