Welcome, dear listeners, to Whispers in the Dark, where shadows tell stories, and the night breathes secrets.

I’m the Dark Skald your guide through the unknown, your storyteller in the darkness, weaving tales that will haunt your thoughts long after the last word fades. Here, we embrace the eerie, the unsettling, the stories that lurk just beyond the edge of the firelight. So settle in, dim the lights… and listen closely. The darkness has something to say.

The third blood curdling tale from Whispers In The Dark Podcast is nearly here... and it's one that will haunt you long after the final whisper fades.

      ‘The Water Never Forgets’

In the quiet Scottish village of Heathermoore, darkness hides behind familiar faces. Andy is a man with secrets—an affair that could destroy everything, and a choice that will haunt him forever. One moonlit night, by the river’s edge, he makes a decision that cannot be undone.

When Samantha disappears, Andy believes freedom is his, and with Rebecca, a future lies within reach. But the river never forgets, and some debts demand payment. Samantha returns—not as the woman he knew, but something far more relentless.

What follows is a descent into guilt, terror, and the unknown. Andy feels her presence in every shadow, every ripple of water, while Rebecca’s safety is only an illusion. As fear tightens around them, the village begins to whisper: can the past ever truly be buried, or does vengeance linger in the mist, waiting for the perfect moment to strike?

By the time the truth surfaces, no one will leave Heathermoore unchanged—and no one will ever look at the river the same way again.

Welcome, dear listeners, to Whispers in the Dark where shadows tell stories, and the night breathes secrets.

The second daunting tale from Whispers In The Dark Podcast is now here... and it's one that will haunt you long after the final whisper fades.

      ‘The Horseman’s Sword’

They say the fog in Dreadmere isn’t weather it’s memory. Each November, it rolls in from Blackpine Grove, thick and deliberate, slipping through cracks and keyholes like it’s looking for someone who forgot to hide. When the fog comes, doors stay locked, windows shuttered, and no one speaks the rider’s name aloud.

Mira Lorne never believed in ghost stories not really. But when the fog returns after seventeen silent years, people begin to vanish. Whispers rise again of a faceless horseman who hunts not the living, but the guilty. And guilt, in Dreadmere, runs deep.

As the mist creeps closer to her door, Mira starts to dream of fire, of bells that ring without ropes, of eyes burning red in the smoke. The chapel ruins call to her. Her father grows quiet. The old sins begin to stir.

No one remembers the first time the fog came. No one agrees on what it wants.

But this year… it remembers her.
