Welcome to the podcast What happened to the lucky country?

The ‘What happened to the lucky country?’ podcast asks the obvious questions, do we still have the same conditions as when we called ourselves the lucky country. And if not, what has to be done to bring these conditions back. We will have opinions from the mediators (Fat man and Little Boy) and guests who may need to keep their names private due to the nature of the discussions we will be having.

This is not about hate speech, creating divisiveness, but aims to foster open conversation where no idea is bad. We all need an inclusive society, one that supports a person’s right to any orientation, religious belief, or lifestyle. But, this is based on improving Australia not weakening it. Some discussion points will be uncomfortable because these are the ones that should be tackled

    For a while now Australians have lost touch or interest in our governing institutions. We need longer fewer terms with non professional politicians, getting rid of preferential voting etc..

    But the main issue here that trust and respect has been lost with the Australian people, and Australians are too lazy to do anything about it. How can you trust someone who lies, or forgets campaign promises or uses their influence to get out of running over a child. And the media is as bad or worse than the government, they allow lies to go investigated, they glorify and highlight issues that rate well, not what is important
