      In his first West Catholic Football Update podcast of the 2023 season, head coach Landon Grove talks about everything fans can expect this summer before the first game of the season vs. Edwardsburg.

      The team is coming off a State Championship in Division 6 of the MHSAA.

      In 2023 they will return to Division 5.

      On this "prelude" episode, the second-year coach is joined by West Catholic content strategist John Gonzalez. They talk about summer workouts, summer scrimages, fundraisers, Camp of Champions, East vs. West All Star Game on June 24, and news that WC alumn Kyle Kloska will be joining his brother (and 2023 gradutate) Timmy Kloska this fall at Army.

      On Episode 15 of the West Catholic Football Update, head coach Landon Grove is joined by West Catholic content strategist John Gonzalez to reflect on the Division 6 MHSAA Championship game against Negaunee.

      West Catholic won 59-14 on Nov. 25, 2022. It was the team's first championship since 2017. It was Coach Grove's first season as head coach. The team finished 13-1.

      It's all about 'family,' says Timmy Kloska at MHSAA Division 6 Ford Field Press Conference

      Head coach Landon Grove and his players address the media at a post-game press conference after his West Catholic Falcons defeated the Negaunee Miners, 59-14 (Nov. 25, 2022) in the Division 6 MHSAA finals.

      Joining him were junior Carter Perry (#13, SL/DB), senior Timmy Kloska (#22, RB/OLB) and senior Bernie Varnesdeel (#2, QB).

      In the press conference Kloska said he will remember this season as "family."

      The team finished the season 13-1 and captured its first state championship since 2017.
