August and September storms gave us a rocky start for our first season on the Outer Banks. Multiple storms and hurricane Erin blew through the studio and landscape causing many homes on Hatteras Island to fall into the ocean. Route 12 was washed out and evacuations of tourist mandated from the main island. As October is here things have settled down, Octoberfest and Halloween are being celebrated on the Outer Banks.
