À propos de ce contenu audio
What does it mean to truly live free?
In this episode of TIMELESS with Teddy Abrokwa, Ghanaian-Romanian musician, filmmaker, activist and cultural disruptor Wanlov the Kubolor opens up about a life deliberately lived outside the rules.
Born in Romania to an Ashanti father and Romanian mother, Wanlov reflects on identity, migration and the experiences that shaped his worldview. He speaks candidly about walking barefoot for over 15 years, confronting racism - including his time in the United States where he ultimately chose to voluntarily deport himself - and his continued advocacy for people on the margins of society.
The conversation moves between music, philosophy, activism and personal conviction, revealing the mind behind one of Africa’s most unconventional artists.
Wanlov is also one half of the boundary-pushing duo FOKN Bois, known for blending satire, social commentary and fearless creativity.
A conversation about freedom, identity and standing firm in your truth.
