 Good afternoon. Virginia. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you might do a double-take at your calendar. We're sitting at 69 degrees right now under clear skies. That's running about 49 degrees warmer than usual for early March. Winter seems to have taken an early vacation. In the next 24 hours. Central Virginia tops out near 70 degrees today with a partly sunny sky. You might see a quick shower after 4 P.M., but most of us stay dry. Tonight brings clouds and a mild low around 51. Tomorrow? we're talking 79 degrees and mostly sunny. Down in Hampton Roads, you're seeing a gorgeous mostly sunny day with a high near 66. You're a bit cooler thanks to that southerly breeze off the water. Tonight drops to around 49 under mostly cloudy skies. Thursday looks pleasant with a high near 70 and just some patchy fog to start the morning. Out in Western Virginia, you're also riding this warm wave. High near 69 today with a slight chance of an afternoon shower between 3 and 5. Tonight stays mild around 52. Thursday pushes toward 79 degrees with plenty of sunshine. This unseasonable warmth sticks around through the weekend. Highs climb into the low 80s by Friday and Saturday. Our next real rain chance arrives Saturday night into Sunday, with a few showers and maybe a thunderstorm. By the way, tonight's full moon rises at sunset. With clear skies early, it will be a beautiful one. We're also gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks away.
