À propos de ce contenu audio

Welcome to the Unpacking Possibility podcast – I’m your host, Dr. Traci Stein. I’m a psychologist, hypnotherapist, and I’m a core faculty member at the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University in the heart of great city of New York. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how our minds work, understanding how our intuition speaks to us, and learning about what combination of these things helps people to make important steps and lead meaningful lives. I’m fascinated with how we can use our inner knowing to guide us to live a life that’s in line who we truly are. In this podcast, I’ll share with you everything I’ve learned, and give you the keys to unlock YOUR potential to live YOUR most rewarding life. I’ll sit down with people from all walks of life who’ve experienced profound personal transformation in some way – each with the common thread of realizing with great clarity, openness and receptivity, that it was time to live their purpose. We’ll listen in as each person tells their story of “aha moments,” and how they ultimately wound up taking action, overcoming challenges, and pursuing their passions. In each episode of Unpacking Possibility, we’ll unpack what it really takes to manifest positive change. It’s my calling to inspire you to discover your authentic self, learn to trust your inner wisdom, and live a life that has meaning for you!2021, Dr. Traci Stein, All Rights Reserved Hygiène et vie saine Psychologie Psychologie et psychiatrie Sciences sociales

    • Ep. 141 - Your Inner Radar Could Save Your Life: How to Start Listening to It
      Feb 10 2026

You know that nagging sensation when someone seems off, but you can't quite put your finger on why? That's your intuition talking—but we often dismiss it for a number of reasons.

In this episode, psychologist Traci Stein digs into why we're so quick to override our gut feelings, especially when someone's charming, credentialed, attractive or has a large platform.

Drawing from recent headlines and personal examples, Traci breaks down how to tell the difference between genuine intuition and the mental noise of anxiety, fear, our hopes and biases. She reveals the surprisingly simple (and free) practice that sharpens our inner radar and can help us better discern the subtle but potentially lifesaving communication from our inner wisdom.

If you've ever hired the wrong person, ignored red flags in a relationship, or gotten an “off” vibe from someone everyone else seems to admire, this episode is for you.

      You'll learn:

      • The hallmarks of genuine intuition
      • Why your “gut” often knows things before all the “normal” data is in
      • How a few minutes of meditation can help you hear your inner voice

    • Ep. 140 - Navigating Chaos from the Inside Out
      Feb 3 2026

In this thought-provoking conversation, psychologist Traci Stein sits down with Dr. Howard Eisenberg—physician, neuroscientist, author and thought leader—to explore how we can navigate these turbulent times with wisdom, resilience, and connection.

Dr. Eisenberg shares his perspective on why our world feels increasingly chaotic and specific the factors disconnecting us from our inner wisdom and each other. He argues we're at a critical juncture where we must choose between a dystopian future or a return to a more harmonious, collaborative, and interconnected humanity.

      The conversation covers:

      • Understanding "amygdala hijack" and how fear shuts down our thinking brain
      • Practical tools for emotional self-regulation and centering in the present moment
      • The power of imagination and belief in shaping reality
      • Why love connects while hate divides—and what that means for our survival
      • The science of the heart-brain connection and its role in empathy and the survival of our species and world
      • Concrete strategies for coping during overwhelming times, maintaining a sense of agency, and becoming more resilient

Dr. Eisenberg offers both philosophical depth and actionable practices, drawing from neuroscience, spiritual traditions, and his clinical work to help listeners reclaim their power, connect authentically with others, and contribute to healing our fractured world.
