  • Selling a Dream, Living a Nightmare: Nature Boy & Carbon Nation (Part 1)
    May 22 2026

In 2015, amid a backdrop of intense societal fear, racial injustice, and trauma in America, a charismatic voice emerged online promising a radical escape.

Eligio Bishop—a former barber, army veteran, and dancer—rebranded himself as “Nature Boy” (and later, “3God”). He used social media to recruit young, vulnerable Black creatives, selling them a dream of a “Black utopia.” He urged them to leave the United States, drop out of "grind culture," and return to a pure, communal life in nature.

But the dream quickly soured. Moving his followers across remote pockets of Central and South America, Bishop transitioned from a fatherly spiritual guide into a textbook cult leader.

That was the cheerful catchphrase of Robert "B" Berchtold, a man who appeared to be the perfect neighbor, fellow church member, and family friend. But behind the friendly facade lay a master manipulator who would eventually kidnap the Brobergs' daughter, Jan—not once, but twice.

In this episode, we unpack the staggering details of a case where the truth is far more twisted than fiction.

  • The Math Isn’t Mathing: The Kendrick Johnson Case
    Apr 17 2026

On January 11, 2013, the students of Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia, made a discovery that would haunt the community for over a decade. Tucked inside a rolled-up wrestling mat in the "old gym" were the remains of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson.

While investigators were quick to label his death a tragic accident—claiming he became stuck while reaching for a shoe—the evidence tells a far more complicated story. From missing organs replaced with newspaper to an hour of missing surveillance footage and conflicting autopsy reports, the "math just isn't mathing."
