      Jul 29 2023

In the last episode of the mini-series "Best Practices for Working with Indigenous Healers and Their Communities," we're sharing a coca reading about Traditional Medicine and Caara's work. We asked the Q'ero to ask Mother Earth and the Sacred Mountains what they think of this project and if it's good. We're working to have the coca reading up on Youtube by the time this episode is released so you can read along. After this episode, we will take a break to work on a free webinar to give you everything you need to navigate your healing using Traditional Indigenous Medicines of South America.

      Jul 21 2023

Our last episode discussed how worker-owned or community-owned cooperative business structures harmonize with Amazonian and High Andean Q'ero traditions. Democratic workplaces safeguard communities, ensure no abuse takes place, and helps distribute wealth more evenly. Although projects can take on a more conventional business model until the project is successful, anyone working with these traditions should prepare for the day that they have to convert their business into a cooperative. In today's episode, we discuss what could happen if you decide not to respect these traditions and don't walk this path of power with the communities you're in business with.

This episode discusses how worker-owned or community-owned businesses are the best structures for projects working with these indigenous healers and their communities. These businesses bring democracy into the workplace and harmonize with these healing traditions. The idea of capitalism is not native to the Americas. Although we live in a capitalist society, we must preserve these traditions by honoring them and creating businesses that are in harmony with them. Sometimes a conventional business is more practical at first, but our goal should always be to convert these businesses to maximize their value for these communities.
