    This is Ron’s Life – Episode 3.31

🎙️ The Boy Who Cried Lasagna, Brunch Heart Attacks, & Meeting Invisibility

Welcome back to another episode of This is Ron’s Life! Today, I’m trying something new—expanding the podcast to YouTube! 🎉 So if you're listening, watching, or just eavesdropping from a distance, thanks for being here.

    What’s in Today’s Episode?

✔ The Boy Who Cried Lasagna – I’ve been talking about making lasagna for so long that nobody believes me anymore. At this point, I could post a photo of it, and people would think it's a stock image. ✔ Brunch & My Near Cardiac Arrest – I checked my pulse at brunch, and it was 145 bpm. My Apple Watch told me to sit down… while I was already sitting. ✔ Do You Ever Feel Invisible in Meetings? – You say something, then two seconds later, someone repeats the exact same thing, and suddenly, they’re a genius. Am I a ghost? Should I start flickering the lights? ✔ Being a Plant Parent is Tough – If I forget to water my plant, it acts like I’ve neglected it for years, but if I overwater it even slightly, it's game over. ✔ A Random Adorable Encounter – A kid in a grocery store asked my husband, “Are you a he?” and it was oddly the most heartwarming thing ever. ✔ Question of the Day – What’s something you quit that you wish you hadn’t? ✔ Quote of the Day – "I’m not young enough to know everything." – Oscar Wilde

  • Freshly Squeezed Thoughts, Fundraiser Rants & House Cows
    Mar 28 2025

Episode: Freshly Squeezed Thoughts, Fundraiser Rants & House Cows

    Episode Summary:

Today, I realize I might be turning into a hermit and should probably leave the house more often. I also take you through last night’s dinner—perfectly cooked salmon, a questionable lemon situation, and my ambitious plan to make homemade lasagna.

Then, fundraiser season is here, and I have one question: Why are kids still selling candy when we really need raffles for massages? Let’s rethink this.

And finally, we need to talk about the 90 Day Fiancé couple who moved to LA and immediately encountered… a house cow. Yes, an actual cow living inside someone’s home. It led to a hilarious group chat moment that I just had to share.

    Question of the Day:

🐾 What’s the most exotic pet you’d own? Let me know!

    Quote of the Day:

“No person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow.” — Alice Walker

  • Corned Beef, CPAP Battles & Avoiding Problems Like a Genius
    Mar 27 2025
    Show Notes: Episode – March 27, 2025

🎙 The People Who Say the Most, Do the Least (Except Me, Obviously)

Welcome back to This Is Ron’s Life! Today’s episode is all about big realizations, corned beef revelations, and the ongoing battle with my CPAP machine.

    In This Episode:

✔ A Moment of Clarity – Ever notice that the loudest people tend to be the ones doing the least? I had that thought, and honestly, I don’t know what that means for me as someone who talks for a living. But it feels true! ✔ Corned Beef Confessions – Did you know you’re supposed to cook corned beef for one hour per pound? Because I didn’t! I’ve been out here just cooking every corned beef for three hours, no matter the size. And you know what? It works. ✔ CPAP Chronicles – My CPAP machine may be plotting against me. If you’ve ever woken up feeling like you’re trapped in a wind tunnel, I feel your pain. ✔ The Never-Ending Shipping Struggle – I ordered CPAP supplies weeks ago, and thanks to the joys of apartment living, they may or may not have been stolen. Tune in for the saga.

    Question of the Day:

What do you do when you're not sleeping great? Are you a “just power through it” person, or do you have a go-to fix? Send me your tips!

    Quote of the Day:

"A clever person solves a problem. A wise person avoids it." – Albert Einstein Look, problem-solving is great, but avoidance? That’s an art form. Sometimes the best way to handle an issue is to dodge it entirely. (No judgment, just strategy.)

  • Cornbread, Self-Focus, and a Little Magic -Episode 3.26
    Mar 26 2025

Here are the show notes for your latest podcast episode:

This Is Ron’s Life Cornbread, Self-Focus, and a Little Magic

Episode Summary: In today’s episode, we dive into a kitchen experiment gone sideways (spoiler: cornbread disaster), but don’t worry, there’s a delicious save with homemade cornbread dressing. I also talk about my obsession with Souper Cubes, the joy of making things ahead, and why happy hour is starting to feel more like “Sad Hour” these days.

But beyond food, we’re talking about something bigger—staying in our own lane and focusing on what actually moves us forward. I reflect on the habit of worrying about what others are doing instead of concentrating on our own progress.

We wrap things up with an inspiring Quote of the Day: "Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that, you can make anything happen." – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

So let’s talk about belief, self-doubt, and why sometimes, the best thing you can do is just focus on making your own life better.

    Topics Covered in Today’s Episode:
    • 🥖 Cornbread Gone Wrong: When a recipe experiment takes a turn, but you make the best of it.

    • 🥘 Homemade Cornbread Dressing: The unexpected success that came out of a kitchen fail.

    • 🛠 Meal Prepping & Souper Cubes: A small hack that makes life so much easier.

    • 🍷 Why Happy Hour is No Longer “Happy” for Me: The cost of drinks vs. the cost of saving money.

    • 🏆 Focus on YOU: Why worrying about what others are doing is just wasted energy.

    • ✨ Quote of the Day: The magic of self-belief and how it can change everything.
