  • Episode Ten: Rick Hale
    Jun 28 2023

Rick Hale is a friend, and author of the book Stop Settling.  In 1996, Rick Hale left behind his dream of making it big in the music business and launching a real estate career. He has never looked back. As a top-producing agent and then launching and operating Keller Williams Realty offices, he continued to expand his reach and deepen his impact, including leading eight offices as the operating partner.

His team of realtors was recently honored as one of the top-performing teams in the country. And in a single year, his group of agencies sold approximately 12,000 homes exceeding $3.4 billion in value, all while still performing and recording rock music with friends.

He identifies sources of inspiration to live a life that really matters, and he provides tools to help people narrow their sights to focus on the priorities that make their lives extraordinary. His purpose for writing the book is to inspire others, just as others have inspired him along life’s journey.

He shares that you have to embrace a life filled with ups and downs, setbacks and crises, and even rejection and failure, and you must stay positive and move forward even when life and people let you down. Even when the most logical option is to give up, you simply don’t quit. In good times and bad, commit to stop settling for anything less than your full potential.

You will not want to miss one second of Rick's infectious attitude and inspiring stories of hope. Listen to the full episode here.

Rick can be contacted at www.rickhale.com.

My special guest today is someone I've known for quite a while, and I'm excited to have him on the show. Ryan Hanley is the founder and president of Rogue Risk, Founder of Hanley Media, and the host of The Ryan Hanley Show. He's a fabulous writer and has a newsletter called Finding Peak, which you should find on Substack or his website, ryanhanley.com

Ryan also hosts podcasts and has his own called the Ryan Hanley Show, which is well-known in the insurance industry and beyond in various roles throughout his career. Most notably, CMO of TrustedChoice.com and the face of the Agency Nation brand through August 2018. Ryan started his media company while at Agency Nation and has created some of the most interesting and widely followed content in the insurance industry.

  • Episode Seven: Alan Ringvald, CEO of Relativity6
    Sep 2 2022

In this episode, I had such a fantastic conversation with a simply brilliant guy named Alan Ringvald. Born in Israel to two Immigrant parents (his Father is from Uraguay), his family settled in the US when he was young, growing up in Boston, MA.

Alan has started (and sold) several businesses in different industries. He's worked at Google (for five years). Over his career, he worked for Google in San Francisco and a candy company in Boston. He attended MIT for grad school and has even worked in professional sports. He started Relativity6 in 2016.

In August 2020, he had a significant health shift that came out of the blue. The experience changed him. He was misdiagnosed, and his symptoms kept getting worse over two years. He became utterly disabled just amid the pandemic.

After struggling for two years, living in a wheelchair, he finally got a correct diagnosis6 that gave him hope. He had surgery, which fixed the issue, but there was still much work to do to regain his strength, care for himself, and walk again.

Over the years of dealing with his illness, he realized how important it is to become an advocate for yourself and those out there in the world living with disabilities and chronic pain.

Alan's story amazed and inspired me, so I wanted to share it with you! I hope that you enjoy this one as much as I did!

  • Episode Four: Dan Call
    Nov 30 2021

After three Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 20 Singles and four critically acclaimed albums with his band The Villains, Dan Call released his highly anticipated debut solo record Intoxicating last February. The title track single reached #39 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 Chart and over 150,000 Spotify streams. The momentum continues with Get It On, the second Billboard Adult Top 40 chart single, from the Intoxicating-EP.

Intoxicating is a five song pop/rock/dance celebration reflecting today’s contemporary vibe, without forgetting all the classic sounds and styles that got us here. A departure from the adult contemporary rock sound of The Villains, Intoxicating finds Dan experimenting and stretching out with different sounds, styles, and atmosphere that results in a unique sound and statement of our times. A blend of well crafted songs, big hooks, and relatable lyrics that on its surface, is tough, and undeniable.

Dig down a little further and on multiple listens, you will find it is provocative, emotional, visual...an arena sized rallying cry straight from the soul of Dan him-self. Aching to connect, include, and reassure, Intoxicating is a much needed pop culture breath of fresh air and truly, a work that stands on its own. Ultimately, it's a career defining, musical kick in the ass that will stay with you long after the record has stopped playing.

As a Round Hill Music songwriter, Dan has had the pleasure of working with A-list writers such as Stan Lynch whose produced (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Don Henley, The Eagles), Peter Stroud whose worked with (Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan), Richard Feldman of (Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker), Billy Chapin of (Edwin McCain), Josh Leo of (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alabama), James House of (Dwight Yoakum, Martina McBride), Charlie Midnight whose worked with (Katie Perry, James Brown, Hilary Duff) and many others.

His songs have been featured on Lifetime Network, TV Guide Channel, E! Channel, NASCAR, and many others. As a bass player and musician, Dan has toured the world with many artists and bands in rock and country over the years. He has also recorded with producers such as Stan Lynch, Brent Maher, and Butch Walker just to name a few.

  • Episode Three: David Carothers
    Oct 22 2021

Having spent the good part of eleven years working within the insurance industry, I’ve been able to work with some really wonderful people. It is always so awesome when you can connect with the people you work alongside in this industry and really get to know them personally and hear their stories.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing David Carothers for a couple of years now and he always surprises me and entertains me whenever we talk. As you will find out by listening to our candid discussion, David is fierce in his drive for making himself better every day. His commitment to his family and business and his pursuit to be his authentic self shows in everything he does. He also works hard to keep balance in his life by taking time to focus on his wife and marriage no matter what. David seems to have boundless energy and gives his all each and every day.

Looking from the outside you would think that David is afraid of nothing and lets nothing worry him. However, you will learn that he, like most of us, has on occasion let his own fears creep in and get the better of him. He shares with us what steps he takes now to avoid that and how you need to just stop overthinking everything you want to do and just go out and do it! NOW.

I really enjoyed this one and I hope you will too!
