À propos de ce contenu audio

Welcome to Theology, Things, & Stuff. My name is Chris McMichael. I am a husband. A father. A pastor. A missionary. An author. Once upon a time I was even a geologist. On Theology, Things, & Stuff, I interview Christians from all over the world and from all walks of life to discuss their salvation experience and their unique interests and testimonies. From a missionary that gave up the American dream to preach in Africa, to a Catholic obsessed with excellence in woodworking; from a brother who runs 100-mile races, to a conservative black politician, the interviews on Theology, Things, & Stuff showcase the beauty and diverse experiences of the Body of Christ. Each episode will conclude with a brief teaching that ties into some major point of discussion from the interview. I trust you will be entertained, encouraged, and educated. • God's Protection Underground - Rev. Jim Fox | Theology, Things & Stuff #022
      Jan 27 2026

Jim Fox was born in Cookeville, Tennessee, in 1969, before his family relocated to inner-city Memphis. Raised in a strong Christian family, Jim developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in his early twenties. During that season, he met his wife and began following the Lord on a path toward ministry. Today, Jim serves as the student pastor at The River, a Baptist church in Cookeville, Tennessee. He is passionate about helping students put down deep roots in their faith and in God’s Word, while discovering how to use their gifts to serve the church, their community, and the world beyond.

Pastor Jim is a devoted husband, a father of four, and a grandfather of eight. He is also an avid member of the caving community, with a love for mapping underground passages and discovering hidden places few have ever seen. Jim has explored hundreds of caves and has led many friends underground to experience the wonder of God’s creation. Through years of caving and rappelling, he has faced several close calls in dangerous situations. By God’s grace, he is here to tell the stories and testify to His faithfulness.

    • The Powerful Testimony Of An Evangelist - Rev. Danny Johnston | Theology, Things & Stuff #021
      Jan 13 2026

Rev. Danny Johnston experienced a radical conversion to Christianity in March 1972. Prior to that, he lived a life marked by anger, bitterness, rebellion, and addiction. He was arrested numerous times and incarcerated in city and county jails, as well as the state penitentiary. After narrowly—and supernaturally—surviving a lethal drug deal, God set Rev. Danny on an unlikely path of repentance, sanctification, and ultimately full-time ministry as a traveling evangelist in 1973.

Since beginning full-time ministry, he has preached in 49 states and 35 countries, proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord and witnessing numerous miracles performed in His name. After more than 50 years of ministry, his heart still burns for the lost. He has preached more than 10,000 times in local church services, revivals, camp meetings, and missionary crusades.

Rev. Danny earned his ministerial degree from Southeastern University and has received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Covenant Life Seminary and Bible College. The heartbeat of Rev. Danny’s life and ministry is to know Jesus more deeply and to make His gospel known throughout the earth.
