I am on a quest to discover the powers of the voice.   Our voices are as unique as our fingerprints. The sound of our voice reveals where we come from, how we feel about ourselves and what we are feeling, even without words. To have a voice is to have a say in what happens and in what matters. The most effective means of controlling people throughout history has been to silence dissenting voices. Those who have dared to speak their truth to power were often punished, but their truths changed the world.  To access the full power of our voice is to claim personal power. Join me each week as I explore the expressive powers of the voice — to speak, to sing, to tell stories, to heal, to incite laughter, to change the world.  I am Suzanne LaGrande and this is the Voice Plays.  Support this podcast
