Matt V braved the elements to spend a day at the Smokestack BBQ Supply store in Alexandria, MN and chatted with Alan Larrimore or Wrecking Crew BBQ, Alan was at the store to cook up delicious samples for customers and as a brand ambassador was able to help customers in their product choices that day. Alan is a great friend of the show and we hear about his wonderful year in the KCBS and the MBS. Jason Schmidt of Smokin' Brews and 'Ques food trailer stopped in with some libations and we chatted about his catering business as well. Jason Schmidt, Owner/Operator tells us what it is like running a food trailer in the beautiful Alexandria of Minnesota and some differences in the Twin Cities versus up north when running a BBQ business. Jason also tells us::

BBQ was a hobby of mine for many years.

I am married with 2 grown children, a recently added son in law and soon-to-be grandpa.

I am also a retired volunteer firefighter who has a passion for serving our community.

The hobby quickly grew into a part time gig and 2 years ago I took the leap to making it a full time business.

Catering and pop ups are the ways I can stay connected to our community.

I have a passion for creating delicious BBQ that brings people together.
